We are blessed to be based in Margaret River, Australia which is embraced by the ocean on three sides. The resulting maritime influence lends itself to ideal growing conditions in Margaret River vineyards for wine grapes. One of, if not the most isolated and pure grape growing regions in the world, its maritime climate provides natural assistance from the wind, rain and sun at just the right time of year.
Our Margaret River winery is bestowed with stunning landscapes and a unique biodiversity exclusive to the Margaret River wine region. A great fact is that 80% of its plant species are found nowhere else in the world!
Here also, are the oldest soils in the world, predominantly deep, well – drained red, gravelly loams over the granite and limestone bedrock ridge. These ancient soils are low in nutrients which results in low vigour in the vineyard which although sounding counter intuitive, makes the vines work harder and produces high-quality grapes.
Margaret River, Australia: what a fabulous place to grow grapes, make wine and live life to the full!
